MEDICAL WELLNESS 4.0 – LANSERHOF EXPANDS TO SYLT

A new destination in a class of its own

Sylt, Germany’s most fashionable North Sea island with a high concentration of celebrities and millionaires, is more than just a Frisian island. The untamed island with its secluded beaches and very expensive accommodation has an inimitable natural beauty. Thanks to the wild dune landscape, the kilometre-long spur, the proud cliffs and probably the highest number of chefs within a few square kilometres, the island has recently developed into a magical hub for discerning tourists. And Sylt continues to grow. The exclusive customer is looking forward to have another ambitious hot spot at the easternmost tip of the island.

The best-heeled tidal area in Germany

As recently announced, the renowned Lanserhof is planning to open a branch on the North Sea Island. In the natural wilderness on the edge of the village of List, the new property of the Austrian developers will be completed in 2019. In close proximity to the charming A-ROSA Sylt, the pioneering spa developers are developing their daylight-flooded vision of the Medical Spa Hotel.

Health and wellness under one roof

Lanserhof is famous for its strategy. Guests benefit from its active commitment to holistic medicine and natural healing, from regeneration treatments to the diverse preventive therapeutic treatments – and enjoy an exclusive holiday stay at the same time.

In order to fulfil the desire for recovery and recreation in a multi-faceted way, visitors will find a hotel complex with an impressive array of facilities. The focus of the stay will be regenerative aspects of the holiday.

In addition to the fresh sea air and island calmness, the LANS Med Concept will play a major part. It is based on modern Mayer medicine, which aims at the holistic and lasting health of the patient. Through certain nutritional concepts, purifications and physical remedies, as well as a guide to a balanced lifestyle, the traveller will be able to find strength and inspiration. However, guests will also have plenty of opportunities to relax. With an extensive wellness area, including a pool, sauna facilities, various spa suites, relaxation and sports areas, guests can restore themselves. The Sylt`s Spa concept is to be the flagship of the company and will be unsurpassable in generosity, exclusivity and uniqueness.

From mountains to mudflat

The medical-wellness pioneers from Austria have a clear vision. They see themselves primarily as the agents of a healthier,

stress-deprived world. It is, therefore, not surprising that the islanders will also benefit from the medical facilities. The builders are investing generously in an extensive cardiology department. For example, a device for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is to be acquired in order to be able to investigate the health problems of the clients. In the long term, the Lanserhof Sylt will be a health centre for holidaymakers and locals.

Expensive luxury

First, however, investment must be made in the infrastructure. Market experts believe that the Tyrolese investment group has bought the property at the Lister mudflat from the Institute for Federal Real Estate (BImA) for 17 million euros. On the grounds of the former Officers’ dormitory and the adjacent beach houses “Ems”, “Weser” and “Elbe”, a state-of-the-art medical care center is to be realized by 2019, with extensive conservation measures in place. The investment volume for 50,000 m2 development area is expected to amount to a total of around 100 million euros. The connection to the airport has also been under close observation, although it is believed that the operators assume that future customers will discreetly fly in and out by private jets. As with the other Lanserhof possessions, (Lans, Tegernsee, Hamburg), the famed architect, Christoph Ingenhoven, has been commissioned to oversee the epochal re-structuring. He will be responsible for taking the characteristic architectural flair of the Lanser Group to the far north.
